We are looking for a Record to Report Specialist to join our finance team in Barcelona. This role is suited to someone who wants to take ownership of key accounting and reporting activities in an international finance environment, while contributing to a business that is growing quickly and continuing to evolve its processes.
The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of their work while collaborating closely with internal teams, external advisors, and auditors. Key Responsibilities:

Own key Record to Report activities, including general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and month-end close tasks.

Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with Local GAAP, US GAAP, accounting standards, and internal policies.

Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and
aligned with internal and external reporting requirements.
- Work with other departments to ensure month-end accruals and accounting entries
are captured accurately and on time.
- Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and
maintain accurate supporting documentation.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.

Work closely with local advisors to support statutory compliance requirements.

Prepare and provide audit documentation to external auditors and assist in ensuring timely completion of audit requests.

Collaborate with external tax advisors to provide required data for accurate and
timely tax filings.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, accuracy,
and quality of financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent
experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Record to Report, general ledger, financial
reporting, or general accounting roles.
- Strong accounting skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles and
financial reporting standards.

Exposure to Local GAAP and US GAAP reporting is valuable.

Familiarity with SOX controls and internal control requirements is valuable.

Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to grow and learn within an evolving international finance environment.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines in a
fast-paced environment.
