Role Overview
**Please note that this role requires hands-on writing of SEO-focused content, including content designed to perform in AI-generated search results.**
We are an employment law firm focused on sexual harassment, discrimination, and retaliation cases. All of our clients come from online search. We want to rank at the top of Google and appear in AI-generated answers (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.) for high-intent legal queries.
We're looking for someone who can figure out what's working, what's not, and execute the work to improve it.
What You'll Do
- Analyze how we currently show up in Google and AI-generated results
- Identify which competitors are ranking (and being cited in AI answers)
- Reverse-engineer what they're doing differently
- Build a clear plan to improve our visibility
- Create and structure content designed to rank (blogs, pages, answer-driven content)
- Deliver ready-to-publish content or strong first drafts (not just recommendations)
- Work with our existing web/SEO team to get things implemented
- Track performance and continuously adjust
What This Role Is (and Isn't) Hands-on execution + strategy
- Focused specifically on search + AI visibility
- Not a pure advisory/consulting role
- Not a general marketing role
- Not an engineering / ML role
- What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in SEO, technical SEO, or organic growth
- You know how to analyze rankings and figure out why competitors win
- Experience with structured content, entities, and search intent
- Exposure to AI search / LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.)
- Able to work with limited data and figure things out
- Comfortable creating content or guiding it directly
- Able to collaborate with an existing web/SEO team (no ego, no turf wars)
Nice to Have
- Experience in legal, healthcare, or other trust-based industries
- Understanding of what makes content credible and authoritative
Engagement Details
- Duration: 2-3 months (to start)
- Hours: ~20 hours/week
- Location: Remote
- Timezone: Some overlap with EST
