Role Description: We are seeking a highly proactive QA Engineer to ensure the reliability, consistency, and correctness of a multi-surface platform spanning web, mobile, backend/admin tools, and third-party integrations. This role focuses on validating complex user journeys, system transitions, and data integrity across interconnected systems. The QA Engineer will play a critical role in identifying edge cases, breaking flows, and ensuring seamless behavior across all product surfaces in a high-risk, high-volume environment. This position supports a healthcare insurance client, with potential exposure to additional clients.
Responsibilities:
- Validate end-to-end user journeys across marketing site, web app, mobile app, and admin systems
- Test system transitions (e.g., eligibility → payment) and ensure consistent cross-platform behavior
- Verify data integrity across systems (UI, backend, CRM, financial integrations)
- Conduct API and backend testing, including async workflows (webhooks, retries, delays)
- Identify and test edge cases, including time-based rules (KYC, application expirations)
- Perform integration testing across Salesforce, Stripe, and Synctera
- Proactively find and surface bugs, focusing on breaking flows and uncovering hidden issues
- Execute testing across web, mobile devices, and admin tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system-wide quality
- Utilize tools like Postman, Charles, and database tools for validation
- Support CI/CD testing processes where applicable
Requirements:
- Experience testing API-heavy, high-volume backend systems
- Strong understanding of multi-system integrations and data flow validation
- Ability to think in user journeys and state-based workflows
- Experience testing across web and mobile platforms (device access required)
- Familiarity with Postman, Charles, and database tools
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus
- ISTQB certification preferred
- Background in fintech, healthcare, or workflow-driven applications is a plus
- Strong attention to edge cases, failure scenarios, and recovery paths
- Demonstrated proactive approach to bug discovery and system validation
