Role Overview
Etsy is seeking a highly creative, savvy, and organized Social Video Producer to join our video content team. This person will support Etsy's global social video efforts across paid and organic channels, with a special focus on vertical video formats such as TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content Production, the Social Video Producer will help to scale video production and creative ideation across Etsy's social media team. This role will be responsible for concepting, producing, filming, and editing original short and long-form video for paid and organic channels. In other words, we're looking for an in-house content creator and a collaborative production team player. The role requires on-camera experience, please provide links to examples of your video work.
This hybrid role must be available to work out of the Brooklyn office as needed (minimum 2x per week).
The Social Video Producer will be responsible for:
- Creating original video for both Etsy's organic and paid social channels, owning production from concept to delivery
- Working with social platform leads to edit shortform and longform video from raw footage from a variety of sources - including sellers, influencers, and UGC content
- Managing multiple projects on tight and shifting deadlines, as well as multiple feedback rounds with notes from social platform leads, paid video leads, and partner teams
- Keeping up with the latest platform video and cultural trends to ensure Etsy shows up authentically on each platform, including optimizing content for different platforms
- Maintaining the integrity of the Etsy brand, ensuring that our content is uplifting and inspiring to buyers and sellers alike, amplifying Etsy's mission of keeping commerce human
The Social Video Producer will demonstrate:
- 3-4+ years experience producing and editing social video for a large brand or publisher
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud tools, as well as in-platform editing and creation tools on social platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
- Strong on-camera and voiceover experience, either personally or professionally
- Creative thinking, with an interest in innovative storytelling through video formats
- An understanding of the ways in which social video content comes to life and how it is different from traditional video formats
- Deep knowledge of the social landscape and video trends, especially in the key areas of home & living, style, and gifting
- A keen awareness of the difference between successful consumer and brand content
- A passion for supporting small businesses, creativity, and craftsmanship
