Sr Fullstack Engineer - 988 (Mexico Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help explore and build new capabilities in the emerging Agentic Commerce space. In this role, you will design and develop systems that enable intelligent agents and automation to interact with commerce platforms, services, and internal tools.

You will work on a variety of initiatives, including building standalone agentic applications, integrating with external platforms and partners, and designing scalable backend architecture that enables other teams to experiment with and deploy agent-driven workflows.

This role requires someone who is comfortable working in ambiguous environments, experimenting with new technologies, and independently driving technical solutions from concept through production. You will collaborate closely with a distributed team of engineers, product leaders, and partners to bring innovative commerce experiences to life.

Our core stack is PHP on the backend, with JavaScript and React used to power internal tools, dashboards, and user-facing interfaces.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement backend services and APIs that support agentic commerce applications.
• Architect and build scalable PHP-based systems that integrate with third-party commerce platforms, APIs, and partner ecosystems.
• Develop agent-driven workflows, automation tools, and intelligent bots that interact with commerce data and services.
• Collaborate with internal teams to design shared infrastructure and architecture that supports experimentation and development in the agentic space.
• Build and maintain internal tools and front-end interfaces using JavaScript and React where appropriate.
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions and best practices.
• Write high-quality, maintainable production code with strong testing and documentation practices.
• Work closely with a remote and distributed team, contributing to asynchronous collaboration and communication.
• Stay current with emerging technologies related to AI agents, automation, and commerce platforms, and help evaluate new tools and approaches.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience with PHP or similar object-oriented languages.
• Solid understanding of backend architecture, API design, and scalable system design.
• Experience building production-grade applications with high standards for code quality, testing, and maintainability.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and React for building modern web interfaces or internal tooling.
• Experience working with third-party APIs, integrations, or platform ecosystems.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects forward with minimal oversight.
• Comfortable collaborating with remote and distributed teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguous or exploratory technical environments.
• A track record of delivering high-quality production code and contributing to engineering best practices.
