Role Overview

Part-time Contractor | Remote / Flexible

Preferred geographies: US and Europe

Estimated commitment: 10-20 hours/week, flexible based on project needs

Initial duration: 3 months preferred, with potential to extend based on fit, performance, and ongoing SME needs

Role overview

Alpheya is building AI-enabled wealth management capabilities for MENA wealth managers, including Investment Insights, Portfolio Highlights, Product Q&A, News Briefs, and advisor-facing intelligence tools.

We're looking for an experienced Wealth Management / Investment Subject Matter Expert to work with Alpheya's AI Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams. This is not a generic AI model-training role. The SME will help review AI-generated outputs, define evaluation rubrics, create reference examples, and ensure outputs are accurate, practical, and credible for Relationship Managers and their clients.

This is a part-time contractor engagement with a mix of asynchronous review and periodic live collaboration with teams in the Middle East.

What you'll do

  • Review AI-generated investment insights, portfolio summaries, product explanations, and advisor-facing outputs for accuracy, relevance, and practical usefulness.
  • Define evaluation rubrics, scoring criteria, and "red flag" checklists for AI outputs.
  • Create "gold standard" examples of client-ready analysis, portfolio commentary, product Q&A responses, and RM talking points.
  • Translate real-world wealth advisory workflows into clear product requirements and evaluation logic.
  • Provide guidance on how RMs assess, explain, and position investment products with retail, affluent, and HNW clients.
  • Flag issues that could reduce trust, including hallucinated facts, weak investment logic, inappropriate recommendations, compliance-sensitive language, or missing regional nuance.
  • Work with product, AI, engineering, and data science teams through async feedback and periodic live working sessions.

Ideal background

Candidates should have 5-10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Wealth management / private banking
  • Investment advisory
  • Relationship management support
  • Investment product strategy
  • Portfolio advisory or portfolio management
  • CIO office / investment strategy
  • Fund selection, fixed income, equities, alternatives, or multi-asset portfolio construction

Strong candidates may come from private banks, wealth managers, family offices, asset managers, investment platforms, or advisory/product teams serving retail, affluent, HNW, or UHNW investors.

Domain expertise

Strong working knowledge across several of the following areas:

  • Wealth management advisory workflows and RM/client interactions
  • Multi-asset portfolio construction and client reporting
  • Fixed income, bonds, credit, yield, duration, and bond portfolio construction
  • Mutual funds, ETFs, fund selection, and product positioning
  • Equities, equity research, sectors, indices, and valuation drivers
  • Alternatives such as real estate, private equity, hedge funds, commodities, or digital assets
  • Suitability, client communication, and advisory-led wealth management
  • Islamic finance, Sukuk, or Shariah-compliant investing is a strong plus

Requirements

  • Practical wealth management or private banking experience.
  • Strong cross-asset investment knowledge.
  • Ability to evaluate whether AI outputs are accurate, balanced, client-ready, and useful for Relationship Managers.
  • Clear written communication and ability to provide structured feedback.
  • Comfort working with product, AI, engineering, and data science teams.
  • Availability for part-time async work with periodic live overlap with Middle East-based teams.
  • Ability to use your own device and work under NDA / confidentiality terms.

Nice to have

  • MENA / GCC wealth management exposure.
  • Sukuk, Islamic finance, or Shariah-compliant investing experience.
  • Prior experience creating investment commentary, RM materials, client-facing portfolio reviews, or product notes.
  • Experience with AI evaluation, QA workflows, data labeling, or rubric development.
  • Experience supporting digital wealth platforms, advisor tools, or portfolio analytics products.

Working model

  • Part-time contractor engagement.
  • Flexible hourly or retainer-style block of hours.
  • Initial expectation: approximately 10-20 hours per week, depending on project needs and candidate availability.
  • Mix of async review, periodic working sessions, and iterative feedback cycles.
  • Periodic overlap with Middle East-based teams required.
