Senior Scrum Master (Healthcare Digital Programs)

Role Overview

SCAN Health is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery across digital and technology initiatives. This individual will serve as a strong, assertive driver who can effectively manage cross-functional teams, remove obstacles, maintain delivery momentum, and ensure successful execution of complex programs.

The ideal candidate brings deep Scrum Master experience within digital product and technology environments. Healthcare or health plan experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile product and technology teams.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Drive accountability across Product, Engineering, Business, and Vendor teams.
• Identify and proactively remove delivery risks, blockers, and dependencies.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Business Stakeholders, and Engineering Leadership to ensure alignment on priorities and execution.
• Track sprint health, team velocity, delivery milestones, and program risks.
• Support Agile planning, roadmap execution, and release coordination.
• Coach teams on Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
• Provide clear and concise status reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and delivery excellence.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of Scrum Master experience leading Agile software delivery teams.
• Deep healthcare, health plan, payer, or regulated-industry experience.
• Proven experience driving complex digital, product, or technology initiatives, esp. digital transformation, member experience, customer experience, or enterprise technology initiatives.
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and drive teams toward outcomes.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, QA, UX, and Business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and software development lifecycles.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Agile delivery tools.
• Scrum certifications such as CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent.
