Role Overview
Position Overview
As the Fitness & Trade Marketing Manager - Spain, you will lead the development of the CELSIUS fitness ecosystem in Spain, owning brand and trade activation across fitness channels.
This is a market-building role in a newly launched Spain business, requiring someone comfortable creating structure, building local playbooks, and operating with high ownership in a fast-moving environment.
You will manage local execution, partnerships, gym activations, distributor collaboration, and agencies while driving visibility, sell-out, and market expansion.
In Spain, this role will focus on CELSIUS as we build the brand's active lifestyle and fitness presence in-market.
**Please note:
- Salary range: (50,000 - 65,000) is in Euros per year
- Location: This is a remote role based in Madrid. Candidates based in Barcelona will also be considered and may work hybrid from our Barcelona office
- Travel: Travel across Spain and occasionally Portugal will be required, with at least one trip per quarter expected
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development & Execution:

- Translate global brand strategy into a locally relevant growth plan, identifying opportunities to drive awareness, recruitment, and market share.
- Brand & Trade Marketing Leadership:

- Lead local brand and trade marketing execution across consumer and customer touchpoints.
- Commercial & Distributor Management:
-
- Partner with distributors and commercial teams to accelerate sell-out, visibility, distribution, and market execution.
- Fitness Ecosystem Development:
-
- Build and manage strategic relationships across gyms, trainers, fitness communities, running clubs, fitness events, and industry partners to strengthen CELSIUS' active lifestyle credentials.
- Experiential Marketing & Activations:

- Own the planning, execution, and optimization of consumer activations, partnerships, and flagship events.
- Agency & Stakeholder Management:
-
- Coordinate external agencies, partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure best-in-class execution and alignment with business objectives.
- Performance Analytics & Business Reporting:

- Leverage market data, consumer insights, and commercial performance metrics to evaluate results, optimize investment, and inform strategic decision-making.
- Team Development:

- Help guide the Brand & Activation Manager role and support the continued buildout of the local Spain/Iberia marketing team as the business scales.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in FMCG, with beverages or consumer goods categories strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in brand marketing, trade marketing, commercial marketing, or category development, with exposure to sales, distributors, or commercial teams.
- Strong understanding of commercial fundamentals, including distribution, rate of sale (ROS), visibility, merchandising, and point-of-sale execution.
- Experience working closely with sales teams, distributors, and external partners to drive commercial performance.
- Experience activating within fitness or active lifestyle environments - such as running clubs, marathons, HYROX-style events, gyms, trainers, fitness communities, or sports events - is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute local marketing plans aligned with broader business objectives.
- Experience managing agencies, events, partnerships, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate consumer, market, and performance data into actionable business recommendations.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality, capable of balancing long-term vision with flawless execution.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Excellent negotiation skills, able to secure mutually beneficial agreements with distributors, customers, agencies, and strategic partners.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a strong sense of ownership.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, new-market environment with limited existing structure and high accountability.
- Strong project management capabilities, effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Data-driven decision maker, using insights and performance metrics to optimize plans and investments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Passion for fitness, wellness, running, and active lifestyles, with a genuine understanding of the communities shaping the Modern Energy category.
- Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
- Master's degree in Marketing or Business is a plus.
- Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
