Technical Product Operations Lead (Remote, W2)

Role Overview

Handl Health is a first-to-market AI platform that compares prices of carrier networks and healthcare providers to help benefits consultants design and manage best-in-class health plans.

About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Product Operations Lead to own execution mechanics across product and engineering at Handl Health. This is a high-impact, hands-on role focused on helping ideas move quickly from concept to shipped product.

You will work closely with the Chief Product Officer to operationalize roadmap priorities, drive product planning, manage tickets and workflows, and make sure critical initiatives are clearly scoped, handed off, and executed. This role sits at the intersection of product management, technical program management, and product operations.

We are looking for someone who is highly organized, technically fluent, startup-native, and comfortable rolling up their sleeves to drive execution in a fast-moving environment.

• The listed salary range reflects base salary only
• Total compensation will also include bonus and equity

Responsibilities:

• Own product execution workflows across teams, including sprint planning, backlog hygiene, ticket creation, prioritization, and follow-through
• Partner closely with the CPO to translate roadmap priorities into clear, executable workstreams
• Work with engineering to ensure requirements are well-defined, handoffs are clean, and work moves efficiently from idea to shipped output
• Bring structure to product operations using tools like Linear and other planning/work management systems
• Help develop and evaluate early concepts, prototypes, and AI-assisted workflows and support transition into implementation
• Surface execution risk, blockers, and dependency issues early
• Coordinate across product, engineering, and data teams to maintain momentum and reduce thrash
• Support documentation, process discipline, and release readiness across multiple internal and external product initiatives
• Help create clarity in ambiguous situations and improve overall execution quality across the organization

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in product management, technical product management, product operations, technical program management, or a closely related role
• Experience working in a startup or fast-moving early-stage company environment
• Strong track record of owning execution across cross-functional technical teams
• Comfort working closely with engineers on APIs, data pipelines, internal systems, and data-heavy products
• Familiarity reviewing technical work and translating it into clear product requirements, including experience working with SQL, technical specs, GitHub workflows, or similar engineering artifacts
• Experience with sprint planning, backlog management, and operational execution in tools such as Linear, Jira, or similar platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clarity and alignment quickly
• Proven ability to operate hands-on and independently without a large support structure
• Experience using AI-assisted workflows and tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar in day-to-day product work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare, healthcare data, claims, benefits, payer/provider, or other regulated-data environments
• Experience acting as a force multiplier to a product leader or founder in a lean organization
